Red Herring Top 100 Private Companies North America Awards

Eligibility requirements:

Companies that apply must be headquartered in North America , must be privately held and not listed on any exchanges anywhere in the world. They must also not be previous winners of a Red Herring 100 award.

RH 100 North America Award Winner benefits:

The Red Herring 100 North America companies will benefit from exclusive visibility through individual profiles featured in a special edition of Red Herring magazine, and in online profiles at RedHerring.com. Additionally, the RH 100 North America award winners will have the right to present at Red Herring Spring before an exclusive audience of C-level entrepreneurs, corporate strategists, and over 50 venture capital funds. Finally, the RH 100 North America companies will obtain invaluable recognition from technology industry executives, investors, observers and clients. Past award winners include Google, Yahoo, Skype, Netscape, Salesforce.com, and YouTube.

Submissions process:

Each year, Red Herring receives a large number of submissions for its 100 lists. To streamline the process, we will only be accepting submissions for the Red Herring 100 North America through our on-line submission process.

The first round of submissions ended Saturday, January 27th. The second round of submissions is now open. The nomination forms will be accepted through Saturday, February 24th.

There will be no discrimination between forms submitted during the first versus the second round. The reason for having two rounds is to allow our editorial team to start reviewing the numerous applications at an earlier date. To encourage the maximum number of applicants to submit during the first round, the opening of a second round was not communicated before the end of the first round.

The winners will be announced on May 1st at the Red Herring Spring Award Ceremony. The 200 finalists will be notified two weeks prior to the event.
