Q. Is this program open only for public companies?
A. This program is created specifically for technology (Information Technology, Biotech, Nanotech, and pharmaceutical) companies worth between $300 Million and $1 Billion in market capitalization. All other companies will not be considered for this awards program.

Q. What is the submission process?
A. You will first need to create a username and password. An email will be then sent to you with a link to the submission page. Clicking on this page will take you to the form. We understand that you may not be able to complete the form in one sitting. Therefore, we have created a process whereby you can save your work and come back to make edits or finish. Once you are done entering all the information and it is to your satisfaction, please click on the submit button to make your submission. Please note that the process is NOT completed until you click on the submit button and once you have submitted your form, you will not be allowed to make any additional changes.

Q. Can one submit more than one company for the awards program?
A. Yes. We do not restrict the number of submissions.

Q. What is the deadline for submission?
A. Forms submitted after midnight October 14, 2005 will not be considered.

Q. Will Red Herring editorial team member(s) be available for discussion regarding the submission?
A. As much as we would like to do this, the sheer volume of entries that we receive will not permit us to do so.

Q. What is the process after we have made the submission?
A. The Red Herring editorial team will review all submissions (received by the deadline) and select a finalists list of 200 companies. All the submitted companies will be contacted at this time regarding their status. The 100 winners will be selected from the shortlist of 200 finalists soon after.

Q. What are the benefits of being name a finalist or a winner?
A. Red Herring has a long history of picking strong companies. Being selected to the Finalists/Winners list from hundreds of nominations is a huge merit that companies can promote online, in print, and at other events. Red Herring will supply Finalist/Winner logos to respective companies and we strongly encourage that you take full advantage of the marketing benefits. We will send a press release identifying the finalists first and then the 100 winners. Finalists/Winners are urged to send out their own releases immediately following ours. Templates will be provided. We recommend that all Finalists/Winners follow the guideline provided. We will list all the Finalists and Winners online at Redherring.com. The Red Herring editorial team will conduct interviews with the CEOs of the 100 winning companies pre-conference and these interviews will be published in the Red Herring Magazine.

We will provide special identification badges for the Finalists and Winners attending the Red Herring Fall 2005 Conference. In addition, the winners will have an opportunity to deliver a short presentation about their company at the Red Herring Fall 2005 Conference to other executives, analysts, and the financial community. Details about the presentation will be released when the winning companies are contacted.

Q. Will there be an award ceremony?
A. Yes. The awards ceremony will take place during the Welcome Dinner on December 13th. Executives of the Red Herring Small Cap 100 will receive recognition and award at this ceremony.

Q: Is it mandatory that the winning companies attend the event?
A: No. However, this is a huge opportunity that you would want to take advantage of. We recommend that you block December 13- 15 on your calendar now so you will not have conflicts later.

Q: Should the Finalists who did not make the final cut also attend the event?
A: It is recommended that the Finalists companies also attend the event. All executives have opportunities at the event - regardless of their nomination status.

Q: Will the Finalists/Winners also be required to pay the conference registration fees?
A: Yes. All participants, regardless of the company status, are required to pay the registration fees.

Q. Can multiple attendees from the same company attend the conference?
A: Yes, we encourage that. Again, every attendee pays registration fees.
